A hackathon is an event where participants collaborate on coding projects, typically over the course of several hours or days. Teams work together to develop software or hardware solutions, often centered around a specific theme or challenge.
Attending Lockdown is completely free! Meals and accommodations are provided, though transportation expenses are not covered.
Lockdown is open exclusively to high school students. To apply, simply fill out the Google Form linked at the top.
Team & Participation
You can participate individually or in a team of up to four members. If you don’t have a team beforehand, don’t worry—teams can be formed at the event!
At the start of the hackathon, there will be a team formation session for participants who are looking for teammates.
Not at all! Lockdown is designed to be beginner-friendly, making it a great opportunity to learn and gain experience.
No, all work must be done during the official hacking period. Any prior work will not be allowed.

Yes! Lunch, dinner, and snacks will be available throughout the event.
Be sure to bring your student ID, laptop, charger, mouse, any hardware you plan to use, a water bottle, and anything else you'll need to stay comfortable during the 15-hour event.
